Saint Michael’s offers 34 majors and 32 minors in a broad range of academic disciplines. No matter what you study at Saint Michael’s, you’ll be taught by faculty who are known and respected in their areas of expertise and whose doors are always open to students. Our student-faculty ratio of 13:1 means that our faculty know all their students by name. You could compete for one of our highly valuable faculty-student research opportunities, where you’ll immerse yourself in projects with faculty mentors that may get you published in an academic journal or presenting at a national conference. Students at Saint Michael’s are supported and engaged, whether through Campus Ministry retreats, service (more than 70 percent of our students participate in service during their time as students), student government and athletics. We have 25 intramural athletic teams, 21 varsity sports teams, and endless opportunities to get outside. Our pioneering Wilderness Program gets our students out to explore our incredible location in northern Vermont, and our Smuggs’ Pass gives students a ski pass to Smugglers’ Notch for the season for almost free. In addition to internships, Honors Programs and summer research, Saint Michael’s also has more than 100 study abroad programs in countries all over the globe. You’ll graduate from Saint Michael’s having experienced the world, with excellent writing and communication skills, and prepared not just for your first job out of college, but for your life.
