University of Wisconsin—River Falls
U Wisconsin at River Falls is a public, comprehensive institution. Founded as a state Normal school in 1874, it gained state university status in 1964 and its present status in 1971. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts and Sciences, and Education. Its 225-acre campus is located in River Falls, 30 miles east of Minneapolis-St. Paul.
